Spring into the Past: Hyser River Museum’s May Open House

Get ready to uncover the stories behind Plainfield Charter Township! The Plainfield Grand Rogue Historical Society is hosting a special two-day open house at the Hyser Rivers Museum, exploring the lives of early families, prominent figures, and the places that shaped the community; along with:  

  • Unraveling the origins of familiar street names 
  • Paying respects at historic sites like the Smith and Hyser family graves 
  • Discovering the significance of locations within Plainfield, Comstock Park, and Belmont

  • Saturday, May 4th: 11am - 5pm 
  • Sunday, May 5th: 1pm – 5pm 

The exploration kicks off in May with a spotlight on Dr. William Hyser, an important figure in Plainfield's past. These events are free and open to the public. Throughout 2024, the Hyser Rivers Musuem will feature other notable people and places—so stay tuned for upcoming events!
