PUBLIC TEST:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public test of the M-100 Optical Scan tabulator and the AutoMark voter assistance terminal, in preparation for the February 28, 2012 Presidential Primary Election, will be conducted on Monday February 6, 2012 at 5:30 P.M. at the Plainfield Charter Township Offices, 6161 Belmont Avenue NE, Belmont, MI.


ELECTION COMMISSION MEETING:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a meeting of the Plainfield Charter Townships Election Commission will take place on Monday February 6, 2012 at 6:00 P.M. at the Plainfield Charter Township Offices, 6161 Belmont Avenue NE, Belmont, MI.

The Election Commission will be appointing election inspectors to work the February 28, 2012 Presidential Primary Election.

MARCH BOARD OF REVIEW

Notice is hereby given to all persons liable to assessment of taxes in the Charter Township of Plainfield, County of Kent, State of Michigan.

The Plainfield Charter Township Board of Review will be in session and meet by appointment at the Township Hall - 6161 Belmont Avenue NE; Belmont, Michigan:

Monday, March 12, 2012
From 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

AND

Tuesday, March 13, 2012
From 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Appointments may be made by calling 616-726-8880 by Monday, March 12, 2012. Residents and Non-residents may appeal by letter addressed to the Board of Review, 6161 Belmont Ave. NE, Belmont, Michigan if received no later than Monday, March 12, 2012.

The Board of Review will upon the request of any person who is assessed on the assessment roll, or of his/her agent, and upon sufficient cause being shown, correct the assessment is such manner as will in their judgment make the valuation thereof relatively just and equal.

Real Estate Factor: In accordance with Act. No. 165 of the Michigan Public Acts of 1971, and Act. No. 114 of 1980, it is estimated that the tentative assessment equalization factor for 2012 will be:

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

 

HISTORY BUFFS WELCOME

The Plainfield Township Historical Preservation and Advisory Committee meets regularly to oversee the operation and maintenance of the Hyser House Historical Museum, and is tasked with protecting and preserving Township history. The Committee meets the fourth Tuesday of the month, January through March at Township Hall (6161 Belmont Avenue, NE) at 3:45 p.m. and May to November at the Hyser House Museum (6440 West River Drive, NE) at 6:00 p.m. All meetings are open to the public and residents are encouraged to share anything regarding Township history with the Committee.

REQUEST:
The applicant is requesting that the Township approve an ordinance that changes the development plan for land zoned Planned Unit Development from a light industrial park (undeveloped) to a baseball and softball sports complex

LOCATION:
The subject property is generally located on the south side of 10 Mile Road, across from the Wolven Avenue/10 Mile Road intersection.

Also, any interested party may submit written comments concerning said request until the date and time of said hearing.
